Clarion County Private Residence 4-24-09
The Oil Region Paranormal Investigation Team performed an investigation at a private residence in Clarion County PA on 4-24-09.
The clients reported a lot of happenings throughout the residence ranging from full apparitions, items that moved on their own, voices, laughter, clothing being pulled, footsteps and a loud banging sound that happened on an almost nightly occurrence from the master bedroom.
The female client of the residence seemed to be the most receptive to all of the occurrences and most of the happenings that were told to our investigators were witnessed by the female client. She reported that on one occasion while in the kitchen of the residence that she was looking in the cupboard for cereal to feed her son breakfast. She stated that she saw out of the corner of her eye, someone walk by her, in to the living room area. She thought that it was her son and walked to the living room to ask him what cereal he wanted to eat. The client told investigators that she walked in to the living room expecting to see her son watching TV but he was not there. She then went upstairs to see if he was up and he was still asleep in bed.
Another report by the client is that almost on a nightly basis, while in bed, that there was a loud banging sound that “sounds like a cannon ball crashing through the ceiling” from the master bedroom. States that the bedroom is the only place that the sound is heard from.
The client also reported that one day she was in the house and heard voices coming from the area of the basement. She states that she could not make out what was being said but it sounded like multiple voices conversing. She stated that she thought there were intruders in the residence and phoned her husband at work who came home, grabbed a gun and searched the residence finding no one there.
Other reports are of seeing apparitions or shadows moving through the area of the kitchen, computer room,
her son stating that he saw someone walk through the living room, blocking out the light, her husband hearing laughter from the basement and also her adult daughter reporting of seeing apparitions in the area of the bathroom and computer room as well as hearing footsteps throughout the house.
The previous owner of the residence was contacted and she reported the same occurrences throughout the time that she lived in the residence. Also the mother of one of the clients reported that there was something in the house while she was staying there for a brief time.
A history of the building shows that it was built in 1925 and was a residence throughout its entire existence, changing hands from one family to another. There was no history gathered that showed any type of traumatic experiences in the house or any type of traumatic deaths. It is not verified, but there may have been one death in the residence of a female caretaker/maid.
THE INVESTIGATION
Investigators arrived at the residence at 8:30pm and began set up of equipment.
Equipment used during the investigation is as follows.
2 Static MiniDV IR Camcorders
2 Mobile MiniDV IR Camcorders Digital Cameras
1 Digital Full Spectrum Camera
1 35mm IR/UV Camera
EMF meters
K2 Meter
Digital voice recorders
IR thermometers
Assortment of other equipment (flashlights, etch-o-sketch, ect.)
Personal Experiences
The first personal experience was reported by Mark and Ryan while in the basement of the residence. Mark reported that the “air” seemed hazy as he was looking at a window. Ryan moved to look around a pole to see what Mark was commenting about and explained being hit in the face by a cold breeze that quickly passed and could not be found again by touch or IR thermometers.
The second personal experience was reported by Ryan, who wasn’t feeling well and was laying on the couch in the living room while the other investigators continued with the investigation. Ryan reported that while laying there he observed a very light colored light (white/yellow) cross through the room from the front door and dissipate about half way across.
The last personal experiences were reported by Steve and Jane who were investigating in the computer room area. Both reported being overcome by a very uneasy feeling that lasted for quite some time. They checked readings with EMF and thermometers but were unable to come up with any reasoning why they were both feeling the sensation.
Through out the investigation all of the investigators on hand were disappointed with the lack of activity or personal experiences. We all figured that with so many claims from six separate individuals that more activity would have been experienced. But then again, we still had not gone over all of the captured data……

Out of all of the photos taken during this investigation only one stood out. This photo was captured in the basement by Mark about thirty minutes in to the investigation. Mark and Ryan both attempted on numerous occasions to reproduce this photo but were unable to do so. We must also note that with the thousands of photos taken by Marks camera, none have ever produced this type of photo.

As most of you should know by now O.R.P.I.T. is not big on orbs and we quickly dismiss a lot of orbs for dust or some other particulate in the air at the time of the photo. But this photo doesn’t appear to be any type of dust, particle or reflection. It appears to be a fast moving orb just in front and to the top of the rocking chair.
