Oil Region Paranormal Investigation Team Investigations

The Oil Region Paranormal Investigation Team conducted an investigation at a private residence in Harrisville Pa on 2-6-10.

The Reports:
The client in this case reported that she has a seven year old daughter whom most of the activity seems to revolve around. The daughter states that she was seen several ghosts in the old farm house.
She claims to have witnessed a tall man wearing all black with twisted hands and wears a hat. She also says that she has witnessed another man that sits on a low dresser with his hands down to his sides and his head looking down. Other claims are of witnessing a female apparition that was staring at her while she was laying on the couch. She said that this female was standing on the staircase. This apparition was described as grey in color wearing a red shirt and red vest and she had no legs. Another ghost that the seven year old has seen in the house is another female that she refers to as the choking girl. This apparition was witnessed on the second floor and was described as having long black stringy hair, blackness where her eyes should be, tattered clothing and a rope around her neck. The final apparition that the girl has reported seeing is one of a horse that was in the kitchen area of the home.
Our client reported that on three occasions she feels that one of these ghosts have caused harm to her daughter. She reports that her daughter has been scratched, pinched and poked and on all occasions there was some type of marks that were viewed but went away by the following day.
Both the client and the clients husband report that they have seen shadows darting around the first floor while they are sitting in the living room, scents of flowers, burnt toast and cigarette smoke appearing then dissipating in the residence.
The husband also reports that on one occasion while walking by a trailer they have on their land that it sounded like someone was in it stomping down the hall. When he checked it, there was no one to be found inside.

The Investigation:
For this investigation we had six members present that split in to two teams. One team would investigate the old farm house and the other team investigate the trailer. During the investigation the following equipment was used.
Four I.R. Camera DVR sytem
One stationary Mini DV camera
One mobile Mini DV camera
Laser system
Audio recorders
Laptop
EMF detectors
K2 meters
Digital thermometers
Digital cameras
Other equipment included flashlights, walkies and other safety equipment.

Captured data:
Throughout the investigation we captured the following evidence for review.
15 ½ hours of video was captured on the DVR system
9 hours 5 minutes of video/audio captured on the Mini DV camcorders
197 photos were taken and approx 8 hours of audio was captured w/ the digital voice recorders.

Personal Experiences:
During the investigation there were several personal experiences logged by investigators. The first experiences occurred as soon as the investigation started in the trailer. Three investigators experienced immediate battery drain from their digital camera’s. Three separate cameras with fully charged batteries drained within moments from each other as soon as the investigation began.
Also while in the trailer investigators reported of hearing what sounded like a single foot footstep or a foot scuffing noise in the hallway. This occurred several times throughout the investigation and investigators could find no logical reason why this was occurring.
Another personal experience was logged back at the old farm house. Investigators were conducting an EVP session on the first floor and reported that they heard what they believed were voices coming from the second floor. No words could be made out by investigators but they reported that it sounded like there was a conversation going on and when they went to check on the voices they would stop.

Captured Evidence:
Investigators spent a lot of time combing through the hours of video and audio and also the photos taken during the investigation and nothing paranormal was captured with any of the captured data.

ORPIT’s Conclusion:
Even though there was no hard evidence gathered at this investigation we feel that there is a possibility of some type of paranormal happenings occurring at this location. With the personal experiences that most of the investigators had during the investigation we can’t rule out that there isnt some type of energy in the house attempting to make itself known to the occupants.

Update:
Prior to ORPIT conducting the investigation at this residence the owners and the female child did a “claiming” to the house and property. They advised us that the child had gotten fed up with seeing the ghosts and having them poke, pinch and scratch her and she walked right in to the room and told them (the ghosts) that she had enough and did not want to see them anymore and that they were to leave her alone and get out of the house.
The client reported that she and her husband followed suit with what her child was doing and put their foot down and told any ghosts in the house that they were not welcome there and that it was now their home and any ghosts had to move on.
During the investigation the client told us this and said that ever since they were firm with the ghosts that they had not had any activity.
The clients also have told us that to be sure the activity stays out of the house that they are contacting their local Preacher to have a house blessing conducted.
