Union City, PA Private Residence 04-17-2010
The Oil Region Paranormal Investigation Team conducted an investigation at a private residence in Union City, Pa on 4-17-2010.
This residence is the next door neighbor of one of our clients that we did an investigation for in early 2009.
Our client reported that she contacted our team due to an array of odd occurrences happening w/in the house, and mostly seemed centered around her 15 year old daughter.
The client reports that they built the house approx 10 – 11 years ago and as far as they were aware there was no other structures on the lot that they knew of. Stated that the property was an open field and in the past it was used by workers to float logs down the creek to the saw mill.
The client reported that she had witnessed her dog take an aggressive pose at odd noises in the house, clothes being hung in an odd fashion that she hung up in her bedroom closet, a necklace that belonged to her mother came up missing. She also reports of hearing bangs from the second floor when no one is up there and one occasion felt as though she got smacked on the head.
We also spoke with the clients daughter. She also reported that most of the activity seems to be located on the second floor. She stated that sometimes there is a loud thud heard from the weight room and she has heard footsteps in the hall and also her parents bedroom. Stated that on one occasion that she had just got in to the house and no one was to be there and she heard noises upstairs. Stated that she was so scared that she had her brother come to the house to check it out and he found no one in the residence.
The Investigation:
For this investigation we had four members present and used the following equipment. Infrared DVR system with four camera’s recording.
Two stationary MiniDV camcorders.
Two MiniDV camcorders that were mobile w/ the investigators
K2 Meters.
EMF detectors
Digital thermometers.
Digital audio recorders.
Digital cameras.
Other equipment included flashlights, walkies and other safety equipment.
Captured Data:
Throughout the investigation we captured 16 hours of video on the DVR system, 4.5 hours of audio/video on the MiniDV Camcorders, 10 hours of audio and 173 still photographs.
Personal Experiences:
During this investigation we had one experience occur that really stood out. Investigators were on the second floor in the master bedroom conducting an EVP session. After the session was completed we filed out of the room. One of the investigators stated that he thought that he had just been scratched on the forearm. Stated that there was only a slight scratching sensation and it felt like his skin was hot. This investigator stated that he does not believe that he hit his arm on anything or brushed up against anything. We monitored his arm throughout the night and with about 5 minutes after reporting being scratched we did view and photograph two slightly raised red marks on his arm. (the investigator reported that the scratches were gone by the following day)
During the rest of the investigation there were no occurrences noted by any of the investigators.
Captured Evidence:
After reviewing all of the video, audio and photos investigators found no evidence other than the photograph taken of the scratch marks.
Our Conclusion:
During this investigation we did not capture any evidence of the paranormal. Investigators are still wondering exactly what to make of the scratch marks that were left on one of the investigators arms.
