Gettysburg Investigation 10-13-07

Gettysburg Pennsylvania is said to be one of the most haunted areas in the United States. Our investigation team took a five hour drive east on 10-13-07 to see if we would have any luck in capturing some paranormal evidence in the historic Gettysburg Battlefields. The group made it to the battlefield at approximately 12:00pm.

At this point we did the usual walking around and took a lot of photos of the battlefields and all of the different monuments in the area. It was absolutely awesome to stand in the exact place where so much U.S. history had occurred. Just to stand where so much bloodshed had taken place by so many people left us for the most part, speechless.

We also toured the museums in the area along with the National Cemetery .

Our
team had never been to

Gettysburg
and knew nothing of the locations other than what we had researched
on the internet.  We knew
that we wanted to investigate the area of the famed Devils Den, Slaughter
Pit, Triangular Field, Little Round Top areas along with Sach’s
Bridge.  Unfortunately
for us we greatly underestimated the time needed for such an investigation
due to the wide expanse that the battlefields covered.  Also our research failed
to show that the battlefields closed at 10:00pm and Sach’s Bridge
closed at dusk.  Therefore
we opted to stay mostly in the Triangular Field area along with the
nearby Rose Woods and Wheatfield for the investigation.

We
met up with Catherine, (an investigator that has a lot of knowledge of Gettysburg and where to go for hot spots) and she gave us a tour
of the Devils Den, Slaughter Pit, Little Round Top, Triangular Field and Sach’s Bridge areas.
This tour was done during the day and our investigators snapped random photos while at these areas.

After the tour we broke for dinner in town at a small pizza shop.
After the meal we then headed back to the battlefields for
the investigation.

The Investigation

We started at the Triangular Field.   All members set up in different locations around this battlefield and were set for the investigation by 6:45pm.
Our investigation in to this famed field lasted for approximately an hour and a half.

The following equipment was used during the investigation.

-
Infrared Camera System

-
Digital Camera’s

-
E.M.F. Detectors

- K2 Meter

-
Inferred Thermometers

-
Digital Voice Recorders

During the investigation at Triangular Field thre was nothing viewed by investigators that would have suggested any paranormal activity. All investigators did hear noises that seemed out of place. Loud bangs from right begind Ryan and Scott but no one located and Mark reported sounds of someone walking around the area he was in with no one located around him as well.

Also during the investigation at almost the exact same time, while about 200 yards apart, Ryan and Mark reported of having feelings of great depression and loneliness.

its time

This E.V.P. was captured at Triangular Field.  Our investigators think we have captured “Kimber……………Its time”

We then met again with Catherine and she took us to an area known as Rose Woods and near the Wheat Field.

The same equipment was used at this location as used in Triangular Field.

While in this area Mark did capture an E.M.F. reading. It only lasted for a few moments then dissipated.  The reading from the E.M.F. meter was a 1.6 – 1.7 and was not able to be located again.

Also while in this area, in a spot that Catherine said she had a lot of activity in the past, all persons were able to feel a definite cold spot.  This cold spot lasted for a few minutes, traveled down a path and disappeared.

At another point, an investigator, while taking photos along the path viewed the photos that were just taken.  Immediately there was a high excitement that an anomaly was captured on two separate photos.

All investigators then began taking photos in the same area that the anomaly was thought to have been taken in. No other photos turned up any positive results.

We were still excited over the photo and the same investigator took another photo and viewed it.  Again this same anomaly was showing in yet another photo.

With the area pinpointed all investigators again began shooting photos.
It didn’t take long for all investigators to be let down. All cameras picked up the same anomaly.  It was nothing more than an odd shaped branch from a dead tree that was laying on the ground.  Although disappointed, all investigators were content with being able to know what caused the odd photos.

During the time after our investigators learned that the photo was nothing more than a downed tree limb and spoke of how they thought they had actually caught something the following was captured on a D.V.R.

E.V.P. recorded of “we’re worth the wait” while we are talking of being disappointed about a photo that was taken.

During the time at Gettysburg our investigators took:

772
Photos

4 hours 44 minutes and 34 seconds of audio

32 minutes of video.  (batteries drained)
